Guidelines to follow when your student is ill:
- Always call the front office to notify them of your student's absence.
- If your student goes to the doctor, dentist, therapy, etc. get a note to turn into the front office. This will excuse your student for that time.
Students will be sent home for the following reasons:
- Temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher.
- After vomitting occasionally. Sometimes students get anxious or certain foods do not agree with their stomach. If there is no fever associated with the vomitting, I will leave it up to the student.
- Diarrhea. Parents will be consulted.
- Migraines and upset stomachs: Students will be expected to try interventions at school before going home.
- Repeat illnesses will require a doctor's note for continued absences to be excused.
Homework
- If your student will be ill for a few days, please request homework from the front office.
- If your student will be going on vacation, please notify the office and request homework in advance.
